Drrrrrrrum roll please? I am so excited to announce the launch of this website which is the window into my imaginative world. I want to welcome and thank you for visiting me here in my own little corner of the internet.

I have struggled to overcome imposter syndrome and had all kinds of ‘the fear’ about putting my art out there because I don’t have a degree in a creative subject- so what made me think I could? I’ve been working up the courage for years to launch my own creative business but with so many creative routes I wasn’t sure where to start. I recently graduated the Surface Design Immersion course by fabric designer Bonnie Christine and I am so pleased to reveal my first pattern collection ‘Witch Spirit’! During the creation of this collection, I started feeling like I had finally found my creative groove through surface pattern design. In doing so I have finally mustered up the courage to put myself and my work out there - so here I am world- nice to meet you!

My first ever pattern collection ‘Witch Spirit’ is inspired by all things magical and witchy. It’s colourful, fun and full of joy. I do want to talk a little bit more about it because I am so proud of myself for putting myself out there in this way. I have always loved magic and fairy tales so it seemed like the perfect place to start drawing inspiration for my first collection. I got thinking about where inspiration comes from in general and in my case I think this love and curiosity of magic comes from:

 1. My dad performing magic tricks for my siblings and I when we were children.

2. Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV show- I am a 90s kid.

3. Reading the Harry Potter books and wishing to be a part of the magical world that JK Rowling created! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I am a curious person and I love learning about what makes people tick - so humour me…do you have any interests that have stuck with you that can be traced back to something in your childhood? How do these manifest or inspire your adult life?
